Cookie Policy

This policy lists the cookies and on-device storage that Akshara360 uses on its website and in the Android app, and how you can control them.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to keep, so that it can recognise you on the next page — for example to keep you signed in. Websites can also store information on your device in other ways, such as a cache of files that makes pages load faster.
2. Cookies we use
The Service itself sets only the first-party cookies below. Strictly necessary cookies are needed for the Service to work. Preference cookies remember choices you make on screen.

Your dashboard layout (which tiles you show and their order) is saved with your account on our servers, not in a cookie.
3. No advertising or analytics cookies
We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and we do not use cookies to follow you across other websites or apps. The Service shows no advertisements.
4. Payment pages
When online payment is switched on, the payment page loads Razorpay’s checkout. Razorpay may set its own cookies or use similar technology to process and secure the payment. Those are controlled by Razorpay under its own cookie and privacy policies. No other third-party content is loaded.
5. Other storage on your device
- Offline page and app files: in the browser, the Service keeps a copy of its offline page, icons and program files so that it loads faster and can show a “You’re offline” message without a connection. No school records or pages you have opened are kept in this copy.
- Browser cache: your browser may keep a copy of files you open in the Service, such as photos and documents, in its cache until it clears the cache.
- Office fee collection: when staff record a fee payment, the form keeps a request number (with internal school, user and student numbers) in that browser tab’s session storage, so the same payment is not recorded twice. The browser clears it when the tab is closed.
- Downloads: spreadsheets, receipts and other files you download or print are saved where you choose and are then under your control.
- The Service does not keep your personal information in your browser’s local storage.
6. The Android app
The Android app “akshara360” uses the same cookies. It keeps the sign-in cookie in its private storage on your device, so that you stay signed in, until you sign out or it expires; preference cookies stay until they expire. When you sign out, the app also clears its browsing history and cache. Cookies from other websites are blocked inside the app.
You can remove everything the app has stored from Android Settings → Apps → akshara360 → Storage → Clear storage (menu names vary by device). You will then need to sign in again.
7. Managing cookies
You can see, block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings. If you block or delete the sid cookie you cannot sign in, or you will be signed out. Deleting a preference cookie only resets that choice.
Because we use only the cookies the Service needs and a few preference cookies, we do not show a cookie-consent banner.
8. Changes to this policy
If we add or change a cookie, we will update this page and the date at the top. See also our Privacy Policy.
